Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about working together.

Visits and consults are focused on understanding your pet’s current situation, the broader context of their health, and what’s most important to you. We’ll talk through what you’re noticing, I’ll assess your pet physicall, and together we’ll decide on next steps. Care is individualized and guided by what’s most relevant in the moment.
Most house calls include acupuncture and medical massage. You’ll receive a summary email after the visit and I can send records to your regular vet if you prefer.

I often help in situations where a pet is in pain, has a chronic or complex condition, or when their care feels confusing or overwhelming for their family.
If you’re unsure what to do next, this work is designed to help you get clear and move forward.

I don’t offer acupuncture as a stand-alone service as consulting is an important part of every visit. Each visit includes an assessment so care can be tailored to your pet’s current needs. Most visits do include acupuncture and massage when appropriate (this depends on your pet’s needs that day). I use massage as part of the diagnosis process.

Visit length is usually around an hour. Sessions are designed to allow enough time to fully understand what’s going on and decide on next steps without feeling rushed. I pay attention to not overwhelming you or your pet with information and you receive a summary of the visit outlining what we discussed, my impressions and recommendations as well as follow up plans after the visit.

Many pet insurance plans reimburse for my services but coverage depends on your specific plan. I don’t bill insurance directly but do provide an itemized invoice that you can submit for reimbursement. If needed, I can also provide medical records to support your claim.
