Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about working together.

  • Visits and consults are focused on understanding your pet’s current situation, the broader context of their health, and what’s most important to you. We’ll talk through what you’re noticing, I’ll assess your pet as appropriate, and together we’ll decide on next steps. Care is individualized and guided by what’s most relevant in the moment.

Most house calls include acupuncture and medical massage. You’ll receive a summary email after the visit and I can send records to your regular vet if you prefer.

  • No. For urgent concerns, please contact your primary veterinarian or a local emergency veterinary hospital. My work is focused on non-emergency, consultative care.

  • I primarily serve the Santa Fe area but do travel outside. Locations futher than 30 minutes from the south Santa Fe library incur a travel fee. Please email me to discuss your location. dr.gmdavis@gmail.com

  • Visit length is usually around an hour. Sessions are designed to allow enough time to fully understand what’s going on and decide on next steps without feeling rushed.

  • Many pet insurance plans reimburse for my services but coverage depends on your specific plan. I don’t bill insurance directly but do provide an itemized invoice that you can submit for reimbursement. If needed, I can also provide medical records to support your claim.
